The metal on this little Hot Blast lantern is good overall. There is slight pitting on the top of the tubes and on the globe canopy. This lantern was made during the 1912 - 1930 era, as there is no sign of red paint. It appears brown, but this is simply a clear urethane coating applied after removing loose surface rust with very fine steel wool. It has the original bottom and looks like new, although it appears to have been re-soldered.
